The presenter was very animated, spoke in a clear and easily understood manner.  The video clips were delightful. The artist video of "The Dot" was particularly enchanting. An informative class with many details and examples to use not only in the classroom but for a variety of life situations that can improve communication.

I learned a lot about different ways to praise students effectively so they will feel better about learning and not just getting the answers correct.  The way teachers say things to students can have such a strong impact on attitudes in the classroom.  I always want to encourage students to participate and try in the classroom and not worry about giving the wrong answer. This was a very useful course.  Thank you!

Easy to follow along with. The examples of of fixed and growth mindset were excellent, as were the examples of positive thinking. I really enjoyed watching the video of The Nurtured Heart Approach as well. It was great to learn more information to use in a clinical setting, as well as at home with my own children.

The presenter's use of videos, stories and examples was effective. I plan to more consciously implement positive descriptive praise in my speech room this year. I also think this is important to teach to parents and teachers, because we can often forget as adults that we can always grow and learn new things.

Excellent course with so much helpful material!

I absolutely love the idea of using mind maps with students. I plan to help support students that I work with to create this mind map to understand their strengths, challenges, likes, and dislikes and share this with parents and educators. I also loved learning about the Nurtured Heart Approach and will share this with educators when working with all students, especially students that may have become accustomed to hearing evaluative praise instead of descriptive praise. Thank you so much for this training!

The speaker seemed to become more comfortable talking as the course progressed.
