Online CE Allowed: LPC: 10 hours / ALC: 2.5 hours per renewal (25% of hours)
License Expiration: 7/31, every 2 years from initial
National Accreditation Accepted: NBCC
Notes: LPCs: 6 hrs ethics per renewal; ALCs: 2 hrs ethics

Notes: 3 hours ethics required each renewal; 3 hours clinical social work education if applicable; 3 hours supervision if applicable; " It is recommended that all licensees and applicants are required complete the to complete a mandatory Child Abuse and Neglect Report training. as required by Alabama Law 26-14-3 for licensure. Alabama State Department of Education
The Alabama State Department of Education certifies school psychologists. Candidates may apply for certification as school psychologists in Alabama through the traditional pathway or the Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) pathway. Psychologists who wish to practice outside a school setting must have a license issued by the Alabama Board of Psychological Examiners (http://www.psychology.state.al.us). The Alabama Board recognizes school psychology as a specialty within professional psychology.
