Rev. Ralph Hamer, MDiv, CT
About the Author
Rev. Ralph Hamer, MDiv, CT, holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Masters of Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg. In 2005, he received standing as Certified in Thanatology through the Association for Death Education and Counseling. He served for 15 years as pastor of St. James Lutheran Church in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He has been employed by Asera Care Hospice for 2 years as a Spiritual Care Coordinator. He continues to assist local parishes and serves as a chaplain at Altoona Regional Health System, a regional trauma center.
