Laura J. Summerfeldt, PhD
About the Author
Laura J. Summerfeldt, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Psychology at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. She is also on the adjunct faculty in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, and is a consulting psychologist at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre and the Psychology Residency Program at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton, Ontario. She received her doctorate from York University in Toronto, Canada, and completed her postdoctoral training in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. Dr. Summerfeldt has published numerous book chapters and scholarly articles in such areas as personality and psychopathology, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and social phobia.
