James T. Webb, PhD, ABPP-Cl
About the Author
James T. Webb, PhD, ABPP-Cl has been recognized nationally as one of 25 psychologists who have most influenced the field of gifted education. A licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Webb is a former president of the Ohio Psychological Association. He is board certified as a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology, and a Fellow of The American Psychological Association, where he served three years on its governing body, the Council of Representatives. Since 1982, he has focused on the social and emotional needs of gifted and talented children and adults. He served on the Board of Directors for the National Association for Gifted Children and was President of the American Association for Gifted Children. He is president and owner of Great Potential Press, a publishing company that specializes in books for parents and teachers to assist in guiding gifted learners. Dr. Webb is a frequent keynote and workshop speaker at conferences regarding the special needs of gifted children. He is also the lead author of A Parent’s Guide to Gifted Children, to be released in early 2007.
